Why a Golf-a-Thon?

For every child who walks through our doors at First Tee – Orange County, we invest more than just time — we invest in their future. In fact, for each participant who joins one of our 9-week class sessions, we spend $25 more than we receive in program fees. That gap is a gap we choose to carry because we believe every child should have the opportunity to be a game changer. In addition, we have a financial aid program that makes sure of that — and we’re so proud of it. While we subsidize the fees of every child, we also cover an additional $20,000 in addition to the gap in financial aid requests annually to families who need the supplemental support.

That’s why this year’s first-ever Golf-A-Thon means so much to us. We’re teaming up with our incredible community to raise money to keep financial aid available for every young person who needs it. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure the kids who need us most can still show up, tee up, and grow.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just love being part of something meaningful, there’s a place for YOU at our Golf-A-Thon!

• Join a Team – Grab your clubs and join an existing team. No experience necessary — just a big heart! Your team will decide and share how many holes you will play.

• Create a Team – Rally your friends, family, and build your own crew. Every team makes an impact. You get to decide how many holes your team will play! Participants will receive a personalized fundraising page and virtual training.

• Sponsor the Event – Can’t make it out to the course? Sponsor a team and cheer them on while your donation goes directly to supporting our participants and making the day memorable! Possible donations could be food, drinks, prizes, and fun items for the golfers to enjoy!
