This Summer, First Tee – Orange County partnered with Samueli Academy to help prepare their Girls Golf team for the upcoming season through a dedicated prep series led by our Lead Coaches, alongside Outreach Coordinators Coach Glenn and Coach Matt.
The program focused on building both the technical skills and mental approach needed to compete confidently on the course, giving the Samueli Academy golfers the tools to feel fully prepared heading into their season.
For Samueli player Chelsea, the impact was clear: golf has taught her to always play with confidence.
Coach Glenn shared that this was a great opportunity to have the girls experience the First Tee life skills program, bringing together golf instruction and personal growth in a way that extends beyond the course.
Coach Amy Cooper, Head Girls Golf Coach at Samueli Academy, said the girls looked forward to First Tee classes each week and enjoyed interacting with the coaches throughout the program.
This partnership reflects First Tee – Orange County’s mission to use the game of golf as a vehicle for building character, confidence, and life skills — on and off the course. We’re proud to have supported the Samueli Academy Girls Golf team as they head into their season, and we look forward to continuing to grow partnerships like this across Orange County.
